The thought of marriage seems to have a bewitching power upon the minds of many of the youth. Two persons become acquainted; they are infatuated with each other, and their whole attention is absorbed. Reason is blinded, and judgment is overthrown. They will not submit to any advice or control, but insist on having their own way, regardless of consequence.
Like some epidemic, or contagion, that must run its course, is the infatuation that possesses them; and there seems to be no such thing as putting a stop to it. Perhaps there are those around them who realize that, should the parties interested be united in marriage, it could only result in life-long unhappiness. But entreaties and exhortations are given in vain. Perhaps, by such a union, the usefulness of one whom God would bless in His service will be crippled and destroyed; but reasoning and persuasion are alike unheeded.
All that can be said by men and women of experience proves ineffectual; it is powerless to change the decision to which their desires have led them. They lose interest in the prayer meeting, and in everything that pertains to religion. They are wholly infatuated with each other, and the duties of life are neglected, as if they were matters of little concern. Night after night, these young people burn the midnight oil to talk with each other,—in reference to subjects of serious and solemn interest?—O no. Rather of frivolous things that are of no importance. - Message to young People

Unholy Infatuation
A Star In The Sky
A Star In The Sky
Like the stars in the sky
You light the darkness in me
Like the stars in the sky
You came and fulfilled my need
I love you but I’m shy
To tell you I need you in my life
Wanna hold you tight but why?
You never realized that I’m alive
Like the stars in the sky
Your beauty is in their mind
Like a star in the sky
You’re too perfect to be mine.

Your beauty is in their mind
Like a star in the sky
You’re too perfect to be mine.

Anger toward Adventist Youths
I happened to turned on the radio and heard how Facebook was used to get in-touch with criminals about their court date. The judges and the authorities stated that people respond better on Facebook than calling them through their phones.
Like books, radio, television and internet, Facebook too is a tool in spreading a message. Why can it be a message about Jesus? Jesus stated that if you deny the Father before men, He will deny you before His father.
What upsets me the most is what many of the Adventist youths are doing with their own Facebook page? Yes, Facebook is for you personally. However, isn’t it true that Facebook is used to share to others a little more of you that others may have not seen? If God is not on your Facebook, wouldn’t it be true that God is not in your personal life? There are millions of Facebook users that have not known about Christ yet. Are you going to keep silent of the word of God? Are you going to sit still in front of your computer and alert people of how you dislike this person, and that idea, and the fun you’ve spent with friends and disregard, perhaps, one of your friend who has no knowledge of Christ ending up knowing how your malicious, or frivolity, or even your levity egoistic idea that are revealed through Facebook? Do not be influenced by others. Use this chance to proclaim your God, testify about His love, share a testimony of what He has done to you through the notes application, and maybe share a text that can inspire others.
I read an advertisement that said something like this: “If you’re reading this, than there’s a great chance that others are also reading this. Please call ###-#### to post your Ad” I strongly feel that Facebook is something like that, it’s like an advertisement of your own life. You can definitely advertise your personal life on Facebook, also, you can interchangeably share Christ so that others may see what Christ have done to you. Isn’t it possible? I believe so.
Hasten God’s second coming my friends. Let anyone that spent hours on Facebook, instead of the Bible, to read your testimony and be blessed. Also remember this; if they are criticizing you’re way of testifying God, know that they are certainly criticizing God.
Imagine this, you have the chance to bring hundreds of souls to Christ through the people that you’ve added from Facebook, yet, you choose to keep silent. What can a bright flashlight be if it’s hidden behind the thread of your pocket? How can your pizza taste like pizza when you restricted the amount of cheese that it should have? Shout the message on top of the mountain if you need to, but wouldn’t it be pointless if you’re screaming it to rocks and trees? My friend, God is giving you ways to share His message to others. Are you going to just sit there and talk more about yourself? Or is it time to make Facebook a tool to introduce others to Christ?
Sincerely,
- A. F. L.
A youth for Christ. :)
PS: Facebook has more than 140 million active users, average user has 100 friends on the site, 2.6 billion minutes are spent on Facebook each day, and more than 13 million users update their statuses at least once each day. (http://www.facebook.com/pr

How do you know if God's telling you to GO!!!
There are many people that influenced my life, but I strongly believe that God introduced these three young people in my life for a certain reason and that certain reason is to GO!!!...
Jessica Salmon, a kind and gentle hearted young woman from Michigan, whom I encounter through facebook, does not only used words but uses action. She means it when she said that she wanted to be used for Christ. And yes, she uses her life only for Christ, leaving America apart from family, the people that she knows, and the language that she speaks, to a country on the other side of the pacific ocean only to serve God with all her heart. Why did God introduced her to me? I believe that she's an awesome example for me, to willingly surrender all of me to God and to GO!!!
Daniel Brobst, a young vigorous man, a bible worker, who left his family in Saint Louis, Missouri, to gain a better understanding of Christ. This young man, through 3ABN, found Christ and decided to follow his heart to serve God. Although his family is yet within the same belief, he pursued his faith to serve God, far from his home, away from the city to a small town in the Heartland of western Kansas. He had spent his money to attend Amazing Facts, to be filled with the love and the understanding of Christ just to be used in His ministry. Why did God introduced him to me? This young man, with the same age as I, is another example to show that I too can be used and be changed. And yes, with the knowledge of Christ, I am responsible to share it with others the way Daniel has done through Christ's example.
Marianela Osorio, in my opinion, is an ambitious young woman with an awesome intelligent and understanding that have also influenced my life. Leaving her comfort zone to be away from her family, to be tested and yet to test God and to have a closer relationship with Him. She chose to leave her friends after graduating with two degrees in business and biology to accept a job in a small town in Colorado. There, she attends a church of two members, managing two health care facilities, taught at a community college, and yet, has time to serve God in building His church there and with the future plan of prison ministry. Why did God introduced me to her? I strongly believe that God wanted to show His awesome grace for me through her life. I hate to be compared with a female, but I believe that her ambition surpasses mine, and if she can do it, I can too. And with God's grace, God, and God only, He can help to manage my time and strengthens me to serve Him.
I am filled with amazement of how God worked in miraculous ways. God has given me talents, knowledge and strength, yet, I've not used them to serve Him. These three young people showed me that God did not placed me in this world to do nothing, but to GO!!! To go, and serve Him with all of my heart.
To think about it, it is not my heart to serve Him, but it's His heart that He had given to me to serve Him. I just hope that through this simple blog entry, many of you can give your heart and be used for Christ. If He had touched your heart and have told you to go... You don't just sit there and do nothing... But GO!!!
Before I end this, I'd like to share a common verse that we all may know, a powerful verse that came straight from the mouth of Jesus. "...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." - Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
Thank you guys for being an inspiration in my life.

An Internet Friend
Jessica Salmon is just another one of the 300+ friends that I have gotten to know after random searched and added of Adventists in Facebook. After getting to know her and bombarded her with tons of FB applications, I got to know a different aspect of humanity. The human aspect that I see, is selfish, controlling, obnoxious, hateful, and those that has a mean behind their definition of friendship. Not Jessica. From the information I've gathered, after getting to know her on FB, I found that she's a down to earth person, who is willing to do anything for anyone. She has a humble heart and have had gone to two missions, which I'm very jealous of. She told me that she's taking Nursing program and surprisingly, like I, she too wanted to become a Nursing Missionary. Jessica is not just an ordinary person, but a well spoken and very dedicated to what she does. I really have not seen anyone with this type of persona in their daily walk of life. She inspired me as a young adult to make God not just a goal for salvation, but a life to live for. Her character encouraged me to be the best that I can for Christ. To compare myself with her made me feel like I need to get to know God more in a personal level than just a God that I cried help to when I needed Him, or a God that I'm thankful for when I am blessed. I need to have God live within my heart as I walk each day and made Him be the one to lead me where I needed to go. I know we've never met, but thank you for showing me a life reflected of Christ. Thank you, and may God bless you in your daily walk and future missionary work.
If anyone wish me to delete this, please send me a message.

As The Day Turns To Night
As this day turns to night
I knelt with eyes shut tight
I pray with all my might
Turning time to the morning light
Phone rang to wake me up
I picked the phone to hear “sup?”
My friend was on the phone
Therefore I grouched and groaned
He asked me to go to GAP
I told him to take a nap
Two hours passed till the bell rang
In the bathtub my song I sang
I then screamed, “Answer the door!”
My sis replied, “Scream some more!”
I wonder whose on the door
It was my girlfriend and her tears
The tears dropped to the floor
With her eyes full of fears
I exited the bathroom
Saw her stand with a shiver
The mood turned to bloom
“He passed away” goes a whisper
From the opening door crack
Red and blue shone bright
I wonder what’s the tale?
Found his accident on my sight
I realized he’s on his way
To see me one last time
He died a block away
Made me cried with no rhyme
