Proverbs 30:7-9 - KJV
8Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
9Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

How Can a Man Fall in Love With Someone He Had Never Seen?

My Love for Christ - Romans 8:34 - 39
| Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
Unholy Infatuation
The thought of marriage seems to have a bewitching power upon the minds of many of the youth. Two persons become acquainted; they are infatuated with each other, and their whole attention is absorbed. Reason is blinded, and judgment is overthrown. They will not submit to any advice or control, but insist on having their own way, regardless of consequence.
Like some epidemic, or contagion, that must run its course, is the infatuation that possesses them; and there seems to be no such thing as putting a stop to it. Perhaps there are those around them who realize that, should the parties interested be united in marriage, it could only result in life-long unhappiness. But entreaties and exhortations are given in vain. Perhaps, by such a union, the usefulness of one whom God would bless in His service will be crippled and destroyed; but reasoning and persuasion are alike unheeded.
All that can be said by men and women of experience proves ineffectual; it is powerless to change the decision to which their desires have led them. They lose interest in the prayer meeting, and in everything that pertains to religion. They are wholly infatuated with each other, and the duties of life are neglected, as if they were matters of little concern. Night after night, these young people burn the midnight oil to talk with each other,—in reference to subjects of serious and solemn interest?—O no. Rather of frivolous things that are of no importance. - Message to young People
A Star In The Sky
A Star In The Sky
Like the stars in the sky
You light the darkness in me
Like the stars in the sky
You came and fulfilled my need
I love you but I’m shy
To tell you I need you in my life
Wanna hold you tight but why?
You never realized that I’m alive
Like the stars in the sky
Your beauty is in their mind
Like a star in the sky
You’re too perfect to be mine.

Random thought... What does it take to be with God?
Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”
And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”
So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”
On this story of “Jesus walking on the lake”, I found a great lesson in it that I wish to share toward young people who walk with Christ.
Let's look at the scenario in the disciples' point of view. Jesus has made His disciples to go ahead before Him. It is night time, and they were tossed by the wave to the middle of the sea without Jesus’ presence in their boat.
I believe that in our Christian life, like the disciples, Jesus let trials and tribulations to come into our life and we often have to go through darkness, tribulations and trials, until we found ourselves living in the middle of nowhere, being tossed by the media and the influence of this world until Jesus walked on water to meet us and even when we’ve found Him, fears and doubts came, like the disciples that they could not even recognize Jesus.
Once Jesus introduced himself to them and assured them to not worry, Peter asked Jesus if he can come to Him on the water and Jesus said, “Come.”
I really love this story and the statement of Jesus. “Come.”
When we get to know Christ, and when Christ enters our life, we are tried through the waves of the world to see our dedication for Him. Are we really committed to serve Him? So when we are committed to go to Christ, Jesus opened up His arm and tells us to “come.” Isn’t it exciting?
As Peter walks to meet Jesus on the water, the Bible says that the wind was boisterous (rough and stormy) and Peter was afraid and he began to sink.
What does it take for young people to walk with Jesus?
Call on Him, get out of your comfort zone, and even though you will be doing something impossible like walking on water, with Jesus, you can do it.
We got to understand that working for Jesus enrage Satan and he will send us rough and stormy winds in our life to keep our focus away from Jesus and he’ll causes us to be afraid.
Jesus does not promise that when you come to Him everything will be wonderful but He promised He’ll be there, just come to Him. Peter, with no hesitation took the chance to do something impossible, to walk on water for Jesus. Peter, in his walk with Jesus had fallen more than once, he betrayed Jesus, yet, Jesus opened up His arms and told Peter to “come.” No matter how far you’ve gone from Christ, with open arms, nailed on the cross, he asks us to come to Him.
That's the thought of my day. May God bless you in a way that you can not imagine, for His thought surpasses yours and mine. :) God bless.

The Day I Decided to QUIT! (The Fern and the Bamboo)
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality. ..
I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
"God", I asked, "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"
His answer surprised me...
"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them.
I gave them light.
I gave them water.
The fern quickly grew from the earth.
Its brilliant green covered the floor.
Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.” He said.
"In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed.
But I would not quit.
In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit." He said.
"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.
I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He asked me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots".
"I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you."
"Don't compare yourself to others."
He said. "The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern.
Yet, they both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high"
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."
I left the forest and brought back this story.
I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.
............
God will never ever give up on you.
For the Christians, prayer is not an option but an opportunity.
Don't tell the Lord how big the problem is, instead, tell the problem how Great the Lord is!
Heaven’s door open this morning, God asked me... “My CHILD...
what can I do for you?” and I said “Daddy please protect and bless the one reading this message.”
God smiled and answered ... "request granted."

How do you know if God's telling you to GO!!!
There are many people that influenced my life, but I strongly believe that God introduced these three young people in my life for a certain reason and that certain reason is to GO!!!...
Jessica Salmon, a kind and gentle hearted young woman from Michigan, whom I encounter through facebook, does not only used words but uses action. She means it when she said that she wanted to be used for Christ. And yes, she uses her life only for Christ, leaving America apart from family, the people that she knows, and the language that she speaks, to a country on the other side of the pacific ocean only to serve God with all her heart. Why did God introduced her to me? I believe that she's an awesome example for me, to willingly surrender all of me to God and to GO!!!
Daniel Brobst, a young vigorous man, a bible worker, who left his family in Saint Louis, Missouri, to gain a better understanding of Christ. This young man, through 3ABN, found Christ and decided to follow his heart to serve God. Although his family is yet within the same belief, he pursued his faith to serve God, far from his home, away from the city to a small town in the Heartland of western Kansas. He had spent his money to attend Amazing Facts, to be filled with the love and the understanding of Christ just to be used in His ministry. Why did God introduced him to me? This young man, with the same age as I, is another example to show that I too can be used and be changed. And yes, with the knowledge of Christ, I am responsible to share it with others the way Daniel has done through Christ's example.
Marianela Osorio, in my opinion, is an ambitious young woman with an awesome intelligent and understanding that have also influenced my life. Leaving her comfort zone to be away from her family, to be tested and yet to test God and to have a closer relationship with Him. She chose to leave her friends after graduating with two degrees in business and biology to accept a job in a small town in Colorado. There, she attends a church of two members, managing two health care facilities, taught at a community college, and yet, has time to serve God in building His church there and with the future plan of prison ministry. Why did God introduced me to her? I strongly believe that God wanted to show His awesome grace for me through her life. I hate to be compared with a female, but I believe that her ambition surpasses mine, and if she can do it, I can too. And with God's grace, God, and God only, He can help to manage my time and strengthens me to serve Him.
I am filled with amazement of how God worked in miraculous ways. God has given me talents, knowledge and strength, yet, I've not used them to serve Him. These three young people showed me that God did not placed me in this world to do nothing, but to GO!!! To go, and serve Him with all of my heart.
To think about it, it is not my heart to serve Him, but it's His heart that He had given to me to serve Him. I just hope that through this simple blog entry, many of you can give your heart and be used for Christ. If He had touched your heart and have told you to go... You don't just sit there and do nothing... But GO!!!
Before I end this, I'd like to share a common verse that we all may know, a powerful verse that came straight from the mouth of Jesus. "...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." - Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
Thank you guys for being an inspiration in my life.

A Blind Girl
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her.
She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.'
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.
He asked her,' Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?'
The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.
Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.'
This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.
Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.
LIFE IS A GIFT.
Today before you say an unkind word -
Think of someone who can't speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food -
Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about your husband or wife -
Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.
Today before you complain about life -
Think of someone who went too early to heaven.
Before you complain about your children -
Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.
Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep -
Think of the people who are living in the streets.
Before whining about the distance you drive -
Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain about your job -
Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.
And when you are mad at someone for letting you down -
Think of all the people who have no one important in their life, and be grateful you have people to love and who love you.
But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another -
Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down -
Put a smile on your face and thank GOD you're alive and still around.

As It Comes To An End
The sky was clear,
When the machine roared loudly.
I sat with a fear,
Knowing you're not here beside me.
A memory of you passes by,
While I glanced at the horizon.
You gave me a kiss and made me cry
Before I sat here fully frightened.
Keeping my mind fully in cheer,
While the machine roared loudly.
Recalling the time when you were near,
When you caressed me tenderly.
My mouth becomes dry,
As I glanced at the horizon.
In my mind I asked why?
I've left you to have you forgotten.
I've loved you for so long
Till this machine comes to an end.
I wanted you to make me belong,
Not with him that you called friend.
I'll sit here to shut my eyes
While looking down at the ocean.
No way I can say my good byes,
'Cause this life will come to an end.

How To Say Good-Bye
The earth is brown
And the sky is blue
My heart broke down
Cause i'm leaving you
Like the wind blew a chill
And the clouds traveled on
This reality seems unreal
To have you long-gone
When trees blew its whisper
And leaves bound to ground
This heart will never deter
From the love that we've bound
As the night ends the day
And stars brighten the way
"I luv you" are the words I'd say
Before we're apart day-to-day
-A.F.Lolowang-
Dear My Sweet Baby
An empty sky is all I see
Where the stars used to be
They shone for everybody
But don’t shine on me
I’ve felt you’ve gone away
And left me on my way
Baby I want you to stay
From that day till today
It’s all right baby, it’s all right
I knew u loved him with all your might
Now I got to shut my sight
And let it fade to black and white
I wanted to be with you a while
Even you lived a thousand mile
I want to give you a dial
But you received them like a pile
Baby,
As the stars shine above
I’ll be true and love you through
I’ll show my heart and my love
Till you love me cuz I loved you.
-A.F.Lolowang-
A Star In The Sky
Like the stars in the sky
You light the darkness in me
Like the stars in the sky
You came and fulfilled my need
I love you but I’m shy
To tell you I need you in my life
Wanna hold you tight but why?
You never realized that I’m alive
Like the stars in the sky
Your beauty is in their mind
Like a star in the sky
You’re too perfect to be mine.
-A.F.Lolowang-
Twinkling Star
As the stars twinkles in the sky,
My body became weary and dreary.
I lay down with a long sigh,
Knowing your not here beside me.
Like the stars in the sky,
You’re a light year away from me.
But deep in my mind,
You’re a kiss away from me.
I knew I’d love you,
At the first time we meet.
Now I think about you,
Every time I sleep.
I want to tell you “I Love You”
But there are guys who do too.
What can I do to show you?
How much my love is for you.
The words that I’ve said
Is meaning less to you.
Now I would like to ask
Do you.. Love me too?
-A.F.Lolowang-
No Light
It's been day and night.
We've been through for some instance
I realized there's no light,
That would shine in our existance.
I've done everything for you
Turning the imposible to conceivable
I've loved you through
Even when our love is incapable
Questions raised in my mind
What can I do to keep our relationship?
Find the light to let us shine?
Or just secrete and bury it down deep?
Everything seems to be lies.
Especially the love that you've showed me.
When you gazed through my eyes.
You'd find nothing that would set you free.
I've loved you and that's the truth
But all I see is that all of these have to end
This is no lie but it's all true
Cause darkness and light would never blend.
-A.F.Lolowang-
A Dove From Above
A girl with the beauty of a dove.
Named herself the beautiful Shanti,
With the skin of a new baby
That made me wants to love.
Her arrival was a surprise,
And made me lost in a trance.
Want to have her in my sight,
Even if it is just a quick glance.
At the church door I saw her.
I’ve lost my mind and became shy.
I wanted so bad to be there.
But all I asked to my self is why?
Her sweetness passes me by
As she holds me by the door
I want to be in her arm and die
Or stroll by, at the lake’s shore.
All I wanted was to see her
But what I got was the warmth that she shares
I want to be with her forever
But I know dreams can get you nowhere
Why should I lie?
I’ve met the girl with beauty.
Why should I be shy?
She’s the one and only.
Like the purity of a white dove,
She have showed me the pure of love
I am thankful to the one above
Who showed me respect and love.

There, Stood One Lonesome Tree
There on a hill, stood a one lonesome tree, miles parted from the distant asphalt street. It stood still showing its strength as the breeze blew its branches from left to right, stripped its leaves, leaving a sound of whisper. A whisper of silent words, silent confusion, that were unable to be told. The breeze turned to a cold chilling afternoon wind, which stroked its roots with thousands of needles, leaving it frozen to the unbearable cold winter night.
There, beside that lonesome tree, I stood in disbelief, seeing bellow the hill, the two of them, running, holding hands, like there was nothing else in the midst of this cruel world. He ran ahead of her, toward the middle of the pasture. Then turned around, opened his arms wide, wanting to have her in his arms. She too ran joyously toward him, with full of emotions that revealed and exposed her true side that she had never shown me before. She let him know that he was everything to her, as she plunged her body in his arms.
Stood below the hill, they were filled with unmeasured love, ignoring the chilled wind that whispered by. My eyes could not bear seeing the two exchanged saliva under a crescent moon that is covered by the knifes-shaped clouds, hiding the moons luminescent in that cold night. I stood fully shattered, knowing where he and she stood, was once the time when she closed her eyes as I caressed her hair, and kissed her soft lips for the first time. Yes, the same grass, the same ground where she stood, recalled the first time that I uttered the three words… “I love you.”
That February night, on the hill where I stood, the cold wind felt as if it squeezed every inch of my bone, shattering my mind and soul to small particles of nothingness. That same chilling wind gusts its thousand needles, raid my heart, and tore it into million pieces. As I remained still with no strength left on my hands, I dropped the rose on my right and the box of chocolate on my left hand, letting them plummet to the silent ground. On that same box of chocolate, attached a small valentine card that was written straight from my heart saying, “Even until death do us part, you will forever be my one and only valentine. I will love you… Always.”
That few minutes of flashback felt and seemed like it was just yesterday. Felt like yesterday that my first love left me on that cold dark night. She left my heart and my soul. She tore my heart, leaving scars of unforgotten memories of the time when she and I spent swapping food from our plate, the time of she and I cuddled under the movie screen, and the time when we gave a quick kiss behind her respected father. Those moments of her and I are scarcely hidden in my mind, she left me like the lonesome tree in the dark cold night.
